BatCat ficlet, based on this awesome artwork/AU prompt, by missrambler.
I do admit, that was one of my favorite lines in the fic. ;)
That “League of Extraordinary Ladies” fic we talked about? The one with Selina Kyle, Lois Lane, Pepper Potts, Natasha Romanoff and Jane Foster? It’s the latter half of that fic I just posted, so I haven’t forgotten about it!

Series: Part 4 of Adaptation
Author’s Note: Part of my Adaptation series, a series that crosses over Batman (Nolan verse), Avengers and Man of Steel. If nothing else, you should really read “Assess and Recommend" (#2 in the series) to get backstory on some of the developments in this fic.
Summary: If Bruce Wayne had learned anything in the year and a half since leaving Gotham City, it was that the world was descending further into anarchy, not spiraling away from it. The aftermath of Metropolis’s destruction, and even that of New York, he’d been hit with the hard revelation that they were not alone in the universe. He’d dealt with evil men before, the type that believed in a cause and the type that reveled in unbridled chaos. But now Earth was outsourcing on evil, and this new brand was coming from worlds he could never imagine.
New alliances needed to be forged.
Sure, it’s here. Hold on, I can even reblog my fic post.
I really, really wanna continue writing this Adaptation series right now (Batman/Superman/Avengers ‘verse stuff), and just write a long one-shot for each major leading lady in it. I’ve already done Selina Kyle, Natasha Romanoff, and Lois Lane. I wanna continue it with one for Pepper Potts and Jane Foster now (and maybe Darcy).
EXCEPT I HAVE FORBIDDEN MYSELF FROM WRITING ANYMORE FANFICTION UNTIL MY ORIGINAL NOVEL IS DONE.
But the muse! She is gnawing at the idea of this. Most crossover fics always focus on the guys interacting. I know that I’ve actually kept the interaction between the ‘verse at a minimum this far (the second fic, “Access and Recommend,” is really the only true crossover in the three fics thus far in the series), but I’m about to go hardcore into the crossover with the next fic. And i just really want the ladies interacting with each other. Selina and Lois? Yes, please. Lois and Pepper? Sign me up. Selina + Lois + Pepper = TAKE OVER THE WORLD. Add in Jane and THEY TAKE OVER THE UNIVERSE. maybe even Betty Ross, ‘cause why not? (Too bad Peggy would not fit in, timeline wise.)
I feel like I’d get a lot of requests to focus on the dudes more, the “true superheroes,” in which case I may have to cut a bitch if someone said that to me.
It’s not like I don’t focus on the guys. All my fics do, and they all are shippy, it’s just… I like female POVs more.
A Leap of Faith (5082 words) by Irony_Rocks (complete)
Fandom: Man of Steel (2013), The Avengers (2012),
Relationships: Lois Lane/Clark Kent
Characters: Lois Lane, Clark Kent, a brief cameo by Phil Coulson
Series: Part 3 of Adaptation series.
Summary: 'Lois, what have you gotten yourself into now?' A familiar and all-encompassing phrase, often uttered by others, sometimes by herself to herself, and never, ever more appropriate than in this moment. The strange thing is she isn’t even talking about the military custody or the alien invasion. It all pales in comparison to the man sitting in front of her.
Author’s Note: Spoilers for “Man of Steel.” This is technically the third story in my “Adaptation” series, a series that crosses over Batman (Nolan verse), Avengers and Man of Steel. This one can be read as a standalone, however, set primarily in the Superman verse. And obviously, my first two fics in the series was written before this movie came out, and therefore based on Superman speculation that might contradict “Man of Steel” canon. I don’t think it’s too bad? Anyway, the next fic in this series will have more obvious interaction between all the superheroes. I just got the hinkering to write Lois/Clark after watching the movie and had to immediately publish.
What? Like you’ve never written 5k in five hours after coming home from the theatre? Don’t lie. You’ve totally had that urge.
