#oh buckle your seatbelts because i am about to take you on a world of feels #lets just talk about this second #when i first watched this episode #i actually rewound this moment and watched it again #yes #mako does care about korra and he was all upset that she was missing in episode nine#but look at this moment #pure #sheer anger #even just his voice #let her go. #he cares about asami too #he’s her protector #even though he knows shes a big girl #she’s his girl #and he wants to keep her safe

 #damn straight #and this is why i’m not set on everything being super makorra #it’s more of mako being overly protective of everyone in his life #he watched his parents die and couldn’t save them #that’s going to take its toll on anyone and he takes it to heart #he probably blames himself knowing that maybe he should have fought harder #used his firebending back at the murderer instead of standing there clutching onto his fathers scarf #but he lost them and he won’t ever lose another person #not bolin not korra not asami not ANYONE #and every time one gets manhandled or captured he flips a switch #and goes from dork to mama bear mako who growls and fights and claws until he gets back what is his #you can’t take anything away from him anymore #he’s lost too much
